7th Tradition Contributions to Intergroup
What is the 7th tradition? The 7th Tradition states that, "we are self-supporting through our own contributions."
Each individual group meeting supports itself by collecting contributions for room/Zoom rental, literature purchases, and more. Groups are encouraged to organize recovery events and outreach activities among their members, using the funds generated from their membership to do so. After these activities, group's surplus funds are forwarded to Intergroup, Region One and World Service so that these larger service bodies can organize resources and support for individual OA members and outreach projects at wider levels. There are currently two ways groups can submit their contributions to Intergroup: via cheque or bank e-transfer. |
Method 1: Bank e-transferStart by logging into the website of your group's banking institution, then navigate to the area where you can make an eTransfer*.
Designate our Treasurer as the recipient ([email protected]) and include a comment that contains:
*Please note that we can only accept eTransfers in Canadian dollars at this time Method 2: Mail us a chequeAddress the cheque to SEA TO SKY INTERGROUP. Please ensure there are no errors on the cheque; if you make a change, please initial beside the change – otherwise, our bank will not accept it. Put your group name and registration number in the memo section (or "personal donation" if you're not donating on behalf of a group)*.
Include a slip of paper that specifies:
Put these items into an envelope and send it to us at: Sea to Sky Intergroup Service Body #09217 P.O. Box 95085, Kingsgate RPO Vancouver, BC Canada V5T 4T8 *Please note that we can only accept cheque donations in Canadian dollars at this time |
